The Kwanzaa Awards: Uplifting Black businesses, organizations, and non-profits

Habari gani? My name is Noni Ervin and I am the Creator and Founder of Kinara Park Kids ® as well as the President of our sister-nonprofit, Black 4 Charities, a 501c3 fiscally sponsored by Shunpike. Together, we are hosting the Kwanzaa Awards because it is important that we acknowledge and recognize the contributions and efforts of individuals and organizations who are showing us what the Kwanzaa Principles look like throughout the year. Award recipients will be announced in January (one week after Kwanzaa Holiday!)

The Nomination Window is open October 1st - November 30th, and YES, you can submit more than one nomination! Eligibility is simple: INDIVIDUAL award recipients must identify as Black/African-American or Pan-African, and ORGANIZATION award recipients must be 100% Black-owned (for profit) or 100% Black-led (nonprofit).

We are celebrating individuals and organizations that embody all seven (7) principles of Kwanzaa. There will be a total of 16 awards = An INDIVIDUAL and an ORGANIZATION/BUSINESS for Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-Determination), Ujima (Collective Work & Responsibility), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith). We will also have an Nguzo Saba award for an individual and organization who embody all Seven Principles.

Visit us at www.KinaraParkKids.com and select Kwanzaa Awards from the home page or the main menu.
