Marjorie Restaurant Shines Bright on Good Day Seattle

TUNE INTO BACK2BESA THIS WEEKEND FOR THE FULL STORY ON MARJORIE

Back2Besa host Besa Gordon recently took viewers on a preview of her mouthwatering journey across the Pacific Northwest, showcasing Black-owned culinary gems earlier this week on Good Day Seattle on FOX13. As Erin Mayovsky, the show's host, put it, "This is my kind of interview, where we get to talk about all the good things."

The highlight of this "Black Business Blitz" was the grand opening of Marjorie restaurant in Seattle's Central District. Owner Donna Moodie expressed her excitement, stating, "It's a vision that I've had for a long time... I just want people to know that we are ready."

Marjorie's globally-inspired, locally-sourced menu is already a hit, with Jamaican jerk chicken, hush puppies, and bread pudding being crowd favorites. Besa raved about the hush puppies, saying, "I don't even like hush puppies, but I loved those." She also praised the restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere, noting the thoughtful decor and overall ambiance.

Erin Mayovsky was equally impressed, commenting on the "decorating, the color, the soccer ball, just everything" that contributed to Marjorie's appeal.

Beyond Marjorie, the episode also featured Little Red Takeout and Catering, Classic Eats, Hot Fish House, Beau Legs Fish and Chips, Love at First Bite, Campfire Coffee, and Chosen Family Wines.

From Seattle to Portland, this Black Business Blitz episode of Back2Besa promises to be a delicious exploration of the Pacific Northwest's vibrant culinary scene. Be sure to tune in to discover your new favorite local spot!

Catch Back2Besa this Saturday at 10:30pm on FOX13 Seattle and Sunday at 10am on FOX13+ and free nationwide on the FOX Local App.
