PHOTOS: Seattle People’s Budget Hosts Voting Kickoff Event
The Seattle People’s Budget hosted their voting kickoff event on Friday, showcasing the ballot proposals which have been put together by community members over the course of the process. Featuring music, information and more, those interested in learning about the proposals came out to Washington Hall to meet some of the those involved with the dispersal of $27 million worth of community funds.
The People’s Budget is a participatory budgeting program which aims to give people who live, work, or play in Seattle a say in how funds will be used in the community. It’s now in it’s final stage and voting is open at pbseattle.org
