Streaming, Scoops, and Streetwear: A Pop-Up to Remember at ETC Tacoma
During ETC Tacoma’s highly anticipated Spring Line launch, the already swaggy atmosphere got a sweet surprise—literally. As part of Women’s History Month, Back2Besa and FOX 13 Seattle teamed up with Molly Moon’s for a surprise pop-up, offering free scoops of ice cream, including a special vegan cookies and cream flavor created by Back2Besa host Besa Gordon. Guests who downloaded the FOX Local app onsite were treated to two scoops, while also learning they could now stream Back2Besa anytime, anywhere.
As people picked up pieces from the Spring line, many stopped to grab a scoop, connect with the FOX 13 team, and hear more about the FOX Local app. The goal? To make streaming Back2Besa feel just as accessible and fun as grabbing a fresh fit or a treat from a local business.
While the ice cream brought some extra sweetness to the day, the Spring collection from ETC was front and center. The Dream Team Series, inspired by Olympic themes and their fan-favorite Tacoma Sonics designs, reflected ETC’s ongoing mission to fuse fashion, representation, and community.
“We’re leaning into the pride we have in Tacoma,” said Umi Wagnor, co-owner of ETC Tacoma. “And not just hoop in general, but hoop in the Pacific Northwest. Sports teams are what people wear from their regions the most, so adding local representation to that is always the goal.”
Grayson Bullinger, who is also co-owner at ETC, spoke to the deeper purpose behind their brand: “We started as a streetwear brand. Now we’re a rare wear brand, and our end goal is to become a heritage brand—something Takomans can wear for generations.”
That sense of purpose extended to the collaboration with FOX 13 and Molly Moon’s.
“When I heard it was about showing love to Tacoma, it was a no-brainer,” said Wagnor. “This was a lovely thing. Unexpected—but totally aligned with what we’re about.”
The collaboration was more than just a fun giveaway—it was a reflection of ETC’s ongoing commitment to uplifting Tacoma’s culture and creative voices. “We love working with people,” said Bullinger. “We think it brings the community closer, and we like to be a liaison for that.”
Between the surprise scoops, the signature coffee from Campfire Coffee, and the meaningful conversations happening all day long, the pop-up left a lasting impression. And thanks to the FOX Local app, the spirit of the day doesn’t have to end. Fans can stream Back2Besa for free anytime, whether they’re in Tacoma, traveling, or just catching up at home.
The event was a celebration of collaboration, culture, and community—and a reminder that when local businesses and media come together with intention, the results are both stylish and sweet.
