DAY 1
Jambo, friends!

Just wanted to give you a quick update from my whirlwind journey to Kenya. After a long day of travel (Seattle to JFK, JFK to Nairobi, and finally Nairobi to Mombasa!), I've finally arrived in beautiful Mombasa. The 11-hour time difference is a bit of a doozy, but I'm so excited to be here.

My first day was all about getting settled and catching up on sleep after that 13-hour flight. I'm so grateful to the amazing team here on the ground who picked me up and got me settled into my hotel. A quick shower, and then it was straight to bed!

I was pleasantly surprised by the breezy weather here in Mombasa – it's not as hot as I expected, which was a welcome relief. I'm really looking forward to exploring Mombasa tomorrow. There are some amazing beaches, historical sites, and delicious food to try. I can't wait to immerse myself in the culture and share more of this incredible journey with you all.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thanks for coming along on this adventure with me!

Sending love from Kenya,

Trae
