WEIRD AT NIGHT EPISODE 210 - PLAGIARISM

WEIRD at NIGHT is a surreal comedy, art share, extravaganza hosted by Patrick Galactic.  This Saturday’s episode features CRACK SABBATH, BEAR AXE, VAUDEVILLE ETIQUETTE, SCREENS, CHRIS KING & THE GUTTERBALLS, TERRY MONSTROSITY, NOTFOR$ALE, and more!  At the end of each episode, we hold an Auto-write, where Patrick invites the audience to share stream-of-consciousness writing pieces in the chat.  Each entry is shared live on the show, often leading to hilarious revelations.  In our surreal storyline, Dartone the Third (savior of the WAN-iverse) was caught stealing Auto-writes from the live stream chat to write his bible, “The Book of Dartone.”  Chat moderator, AlexEffinV has sued Dartone and an epic WEIRD at NIGHT trial is imminent!

So, it’s only fitting that this week in the WAN-iverse we examine ‘Plagiarism.’  Art is for everyone and a part of everyone’s experience.  We all share feelings about popular pieces of art, famous movies and famous characters, but it can be tricky expressing those feelings in an art piece without stepping on copyright law.  Is it fair for companies like Disney to change copyright laws so they can control content in perpetuity?  When is it a copy-cat, when is it new?  When is it a cover, when is it a reimagination?  We examine these questions by celebrating some incredible homages, parodies, satires, covers and inspired originals!

Plus, the mystery of the invisible Spectacle Bear continues.  Some characters can see the bear, while others cannot, and recently the Spectacle Bear was caught on tape making a deal with Dante, The Ruler of Hell and Beyond.  Now, the goblin bird Mandy Ravage has teamed up with Lieutenants Suave and Pickle of the Noirrland PD to uncover details about the Spectacle Bear’s deal with the devil.  They are meeting an important guest at 'Hotel Dangerous' to join their cause.  All this and more WEIRD this Saturday at 10PM streaming Live on Converge Media.

WEIRD at NIGHT is founded on four key principles; Time over money, People over profits, Art is the antidote, Attack with Love.  This is a Dada inspired live stream for the late night disenfranchised and it’s weird as f***.
