New father Morgan Geekie and AHL call up Tye Kartye got the scoring started for the Kraken, as Yanni Gourde’s tip in helped Seattle pull out a victory.

The Seattle Sounders returned to Starfire Stadium, once again for the US Open Cup, and were victorious as they survived a wild thriller against upstart San Diego Loyal in the round of 32. In game four of the round one Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup against the Colorado Avalanche, Jordan Eberle made more history for the franchise as his game winner secured the first ever overtime and home win in franchise playoff history. Seattle jumped out to a two goal lead in the first period before Mikko Rantanen scored twice in the second, setting us up for a dramatic finish.

To end their nine-game homestand, the Seattle Mariners dropped the series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals but were able to get the series victory yesterday. Mariners starting pitcher Chris Flexen struggled in his start in the rotation spot of Robbie Ray, and the Seattle bats failed to click outside of the second inning.
Kraken Fans Show Support Prior to First Home Playoff Game in Franchise History
Last night, the Kraken hosted their first home playoff game in franchise history. Despite losing 6-4 to the Colorado Avalanche, the atmosphere outside Climate Pledge Arena before the game was electric and our Besa Gordon and Bel Garcia were there to take it all in.
Mariners take series against Cardinals with 5-4 win in game two
Again, the Seattle Mariners scored five runs against the St. Louis Cardinals, and once again it was enough to secure victory against their interleague opponent. While Mariners ace Luis Castillo may have had an “off-day,” the Seattle offense was able to pick up some of the slack as Jarred Kelenic and Teoscar Hernandez homered before an Eugenio Suarez 2-RBI single gave Seattle a lead.

The Seattle Sounders got back on the winning track following their embarrassing loss to the Portland Timbers, as a 79th minute Albert Rusnak goal buried Minnesota United FC at Lumen Field. Seattle’s strong defensive play set the foundation for this win, and Rusnak’s rocket of a goal secured it.

In game two of the series, the Seattle Mariners toppled the Colorado Rockies as Seattle was finally able to cash in with the bases loaded, resulting in a final score of 9-2. Third baseman Eugenio Suarez’s solo homer seemed to wake things up for the Mariners.

The Seattle Mariners began a 9-game homestand by defeating the Colorado Rockies, lead by another impressive effort by left fielder Jarred Kelenic. Kelenic had a two-run homer to start the scoring for Seattle in the bottom of the second, and a double in the bottom of the fourth to begin an inning that saw his team plate three more runs.
