Pride Month Spotlight: Gina Brown

Gina Brown is a community organizer with the Southern AIDS Coalition. She has worked in the field of HIV for more than 15 years and has been living with HIV for more than 23 years. Gina graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern University at New Orleans, with a Bachelor of Social Work and a minor in History in 2011. She received her Master's degree in Social Work in 2012. Gina is a former member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA). Gina has served on numerous boards and committees. She currently serves on CrescentCare Health’s Board of Trustees.

To close out their series against the Chicago White Sox and their six-game homestand, the Seattle Mariners were victorious thanks to a crucially big game from Bryce Miller and a clutch triple from Jarred Kelenic. Although there wasn’t balance, per say, on the offensive end for Seattle, the Mariners got runs across when they needed to and now head out on a big road trip.

Marlins sink Mariners sweep attempt with 4-1 victory behind strong night from Eury Perez

Child Care Staff to Receive Up to $5.3 Million to Support Workforce

For the third consecutive year, the Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) will provide millions in relief to support and retain child care workers. Funded by the Payroll Expense Tax, up to $5.3 million–the City’s largest direct payment investment to date–is projected to reach approximately 4,500 child care workers across the city.
