Before embarking on his journey in mentorship, Romell made significant contributions to the sports world as part of the Los Angeles Lakers organization. Over a span of four years, he excelled in roles focusing on player engagement and served as the team chaplain, where he played a pivotal role in the personal and spiritual development of the athletes.
