The intro pays homage to the "glory days of '80s and 90s TV, where black TV shows and sitcoms were thriving and vibrant," as Trae noted. This cultural statement was a key aspect of the vision, and it's thrilling to see it recognized with an Emmy nomination. "We had to fight for the longevity of this intro, making sure that our cultural relevance was pronounced here," Trae added, highlighting the importance of their vision.

This achievement was a collaborative effort. Trae gave shoutouts to Vitamin D, Erik Kalligraphy, Coach Giggs, Francisco Lopez, Brady McAtee, Mat Bermudez, and Omari Salisbury for their crucial roles in bringing the vision to life. "There were so many folks involved, and just the whole community who came out. I can't thank everybody enough because this is for us. This is about us," Trae emphasized.

Erik Kalligraphy played a significant role in the vision ideation and music selection at Vitamin D’s studio. "Erik Kalligraphy and I had, I mean, numerous meetings, conversations, ideation sessions about rebranding The Day with Trae. We talked about it many times, and he really helped with some of the vision," Trae explained. Vitamin D not only provided the perfect track, "something that really represents this era." but also rapped on the intro. Francisco Lopez’s expertise in shooting music videos was also vital, capturing the vision perfectly. "His editing and video skills are top tier on this amazing intro," Trae praised.

The Emmy ceremony is set for June 7, 2025, and Trae is looking forward to celebrating with everyone who contributed to this success.
