City of Auburn Mayors Office of Equity present: Juneteenth Celebration at Les Gove Park

Come celebrate Juneteenth with City of Auburn, hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Equity. This federal holiday commemorates the end of slavery and liberation of Black people in the United States. This is a perfect event for the whole family to enjoy.

Come participate in community fellowship, support local small businesses, and learn from community leaders. Enjoy amazing local artists and musicians and lots of free activities for kids of all ages.

The newest addition to the celebration will be a Juneteenth historical exhibit by their local Auburn School District high school students.

Atlantic Street Center's 23rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration

For the 23rd year, Atlantic Street Center welcomes the community to celebrate Juneteenth with a day full of live performances, delicious food, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and a resource fair. If it's anything like last year, you can expect step performances, tap dancing, jump rope tricks, and hip-hop. Juneteenth commemorates the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation on June 19, 1865 (it was signed two years earlier!) in Texas at the end of the Civil War, and modern celebrations spotlight Black excellence and connection. Africatown Community Land Trust and King County Equity Now present a full day of live performances by talented local and national acts, vendors and family activities!

The Summer of Soul Juneteenth celebration is the city’s longest-standing gathering, a continuation of the decades-long annual tradition started by the late DeCharlene Williams in 1983 of bringing the community together every summer.

City of Mercer Island Celebrates Juneteenth

Hosted by the Mercer Island High School Black Student Union and the City of Mercer Island, the Juneteenth Celebration will be held on June 19 from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at Mercerdale Park. Enjoy children’s activities, live music, and a food truck.

Children's activities include face painting, a balloon artist, and more. Get ready for the MIHS Drill Team to perform. There will be Black-owned food trucks.

The Juneteenth Celebration will host over 100 vendors from trade associations, local businesses, nonprofits, and finance. The festival will be at Stewart Heights Park in Tacoma.

The festival will include a main stage filled with performances and speakers, an interactive kid’s zone and stage, face painting, and a playground.

We're willing to bet you'll drop some dollars on JAMIL, a vintage clothing vendor "for the renaissance woman"; R. Burnett, whose gorgeous (and affordable) craft-made wooden watches have been featured in British GQ and the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art; and Black Origin Plants, who can help bring some new greenery into your home.

NAAM’s 2nd Day of Juneteenth Celebration continues with our Father’s Day Celebration!

Enjoy free admission on Father's Day for a special celebration of community and fatherhood. Grab your boots and cowboy hat ya'll. and join me in experiencing this AMAZING 2nd Annual 8 Second Juneteenth Black Rodeo in Portland!

This Juneteenth, come celebrate the history of Black rodeo at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon. Featuring some of today’s bravest riders, nastiest bulls, tastiest food, and live beats from DJ OG One, the Eight Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo will be an experience like no other.

We will be heading down from WA to spend Saturday & Sunday in Portland exploring, eating, drinking and watching the dirt fly around the coliseum!

I am currently working on every detail for all of us in the Seattle/Tacoma and surrounding areas!

Our Portland area sistahs are welcome to join us in any activities that are planned when we get there! 🤩
