Get Active and Learn to Workout at Home with Besa Gordon and Fitness Coach Adaeze Medani
Back2Besa host Besa Gordon stopped by SpoonFed Training in Renton to tap in with Fitness Coach Adaeze Medani and showcase some ways you can stay in shape as well as the natural methods she uses. Medani and Gordon went through a workout which can be done in the fitness studio or at home, and you can follow along and try out some of the exercises they did.
Medani said that an overlooked part of health and wellness is movement, and that not every workout needs to be hard.
“We as human beings need to do a better job of practicing mobility on a day to day basis,” Medani said. “That’s where you’ll find yourself decreasing pain overall. Human beings are made to move.”
She also said that practicing mobility on a day-to-day basis is a huge benefit to overall health and can have major impacts on quality of life. Medani’s interest in fitness started at a young age, as she participated in sports as a child and loved being active.
“After sports, I found the earth as my new fitness gym. I would go outside and run, I would do calisthenic movements, push-ups, sit-ups, and then I’d run back home,” Medani said. “Exercise is the most potent and underutilized antidepressant.”
She also highlighted the accessibility of exercise, saying that you can start your journey with something as simple as a walk.
