Trae Holiday Inspired by Kenyan Creativity at One Vibe Africa

Trae Holiday, host of The Day with Trae, is keeping us updated on her travels to Kenya, where she hosted the Madaraka Festival on December 14th in Kisumu City and is now traveling around the country.

By Trae Holiday - Today was truly inspiring! I had the incredible opportunity to visit the One Vibe Africa offices in Kisumu, the masterminds behind the Madaraka Festival. Let me tell you, this place is amazing! It's a vibrant cultural hub that's making a real difference in the community.

The compound, once an orphanage, now houses a recording studio, editing bay, podcast studio, and co-working space. They even have living quarters for students participating in educational programs. One Vibe has partnered with an educational institution to train locals in early childhood education, and they've created a space where learning and community thrive.

During my visit, I witnessed the Madaraka dancers hosting classes, the recording of a new track honoring the amazing women who provide motorcycle transportation to the hospital, and so much more. The energy was contagious!

One Vibe is more than just a space; it's a village where creativity, education, and community come together. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to experience it firsthand. Kenya continues to inspire me, and I'm filled with gratitude for this incredible journey.

Stay tuned for more updates from my Kenyan adventure!
