Ann Gaston Polite: A Fashion Designer's Journey to Success

Ann Gaston Polite is a fashion designer and entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for creating. As a young girl in Palestine, Texas, she dreamed of becoming a fashion designer, despite discouragement from her high school guidance counselor. In 1979, she founded Annie's Playthings in Seattle, Washington, a line of designer loungewear and accessories for women and men. The company initially marketed its products through home parties and mail order, eventually expanding to trade shows and shipping to five different states. Today, Ann Gaston Polite continues to focus on serving full-figured women, and her company now primarily operates through its website and Facebook.

Last week Ann Gaston Polite stopped by The Day With Trae to talk with Trae Holiday, about The Herstory purpose in Gaston Gear.
