NaKeesa Frazier-Jennings on Writing, Representation, and Self-Love

NaKeesa Frazier-Jennings appeared on The Day With Trae with host Trae Holiday to discuss her journey as a writer and artist. NaKeesa shared how she found her voice through writing op-eds and connecting with organizations like the African American Writers Alliance. She also discussed her passion for uplifting Black women through her work, including her guided journal, "100 Days of Gentle Accountability." NaKeesa emphasized the importance of self-love and reflection, especially for Black women, and encouraged viewers to challenge harmful societal narratives. 


In addition to her writing, NaKeesa also talked about her role as the creative director for her husband's art exhibition, "The Women, The Paper, and The Light." The exhibition celebrates Black women and girls and honors the legacy of her husband's grandfather, a Black artist in Washington, DC.
