Empowering Communities Through Care: Tamica Gant on The Day with Trae

Tamica Gant, a dynamic entrepreneur and registered nurse, recently appeared on The Day with Trae to discuss her impactful work in healthcare. Tamica, who graduated from Seattle University in 2015, was inspired to pursue a career in nursing by her experiences caring for her grandmother and encouragement from a black nurse during that time.

During the pandemic in August 2020, Tamica started Abundance Health after being laid off from a local Seattle hospital. Her mission was clear: to serve her community and ensure that people received personalized, in-home nursing care. Her company now provides vital services, including skin assessments for the elderly and disabled, and support for foster children with health risks. Abundance Health also offers private duty nursing and registered nurse delegation services.

Tamica's approach to healthcare emphasizes culturally responsive care, filling a critical gap for many families navigating complex medical needs. Her dedication extends beyond professional obligations, treating her patients as family, and offering them the comfort and security of being cared for in their homes.

Tamica also announced the upcoming BIPOC Health and Wellness Fair, scheduled for August 31 at the Eastside Community Center in Tacoma. The event will offer activities, a raffle with exciting prizes, and partnerships with organizations like Virginia Mason and MultiCare. Additionally, 150 free gun lock boxes will be available, and Subway will provide 250 box lunches. The fair is designed to uplift the community and connect people with essential resources.

Tamica's work exemplifies dedication to community well-being and the transformative power of compassionate healthcare.
