Heru Tchaasamen, a Qigong instructor, recently appeared on The Day with Trae to discuss his ongoing series of Qigong classes at Pier 62 in Seattle. This marks the second year that Heru has taught these classes, offered in partnership with Friends of the Waterfront.

Heru spoke about the benefits of Qigong, an ancient Chinese practice that combines breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation. He explained that Qigong can help reduce stress, anxiety, and tension, and also promote healing and detoxification in the body.

Trae Holiday, the host of The Day with Trae, shared her personal experiences with Qigong and attested to the benefits she has experienced from practicing it. She also recalled witnessing Heru's Qigong practice firsthand and observing the physical manifestation of the energy he was able to generate.

Heru explained that Qigong is a powerful practice with a history spanning centuries, based on the principle of using breath and movement to cultivate and direct the body's natural energy, or "qi". He emphasized the importance of proper breathing technique in Qigong and how it can help calm the mind and promote relaxation.

Heru's Qigong classes at Pier 62 are free and open to the public, held on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. To register for a class or to learn more about Heru's work, please visit find out when his next class is here: waterfrontparkseattle.org/events
