The reason I started these mixers is because I truly felt that people who look like me in the media industry, or even just influencers sometimes don't have the right information on how to properly promote themselves on social media, how to properly use the algorithm to their best advantage, or even how to reach out to brands. So I wanted to put something together where we can have people like the Vida Agency come in and give us some top-notch information on how to make sure that we’re really living our best lives out here and getting paid for it.

Converge Media’s Besa Gordon and Trae Holiday travelled to LA for the beginning of the Hadestown national tour, part of Broadway Across America. They brought Converge’s brand to the red carpet as they talked to actors from the show and writer Anais Mitchell.

Last month, Trae Holiday and Besa Gordon took over LA. During this trip, Holiday got to interview Kimberly Marable and Kevin Morrow, the star-studded Persephone and Hades of Hadestown.

Hadestown is an eight-time Tony Award-winning musical and is now taking its talent on tour. Hadestown is a musical with a complex story and spectacular vocals, especially from Marable (Persephone) and Morrow (Hades).

Levi Kreis is Tony Award winning actor from Tennessee and spoke to Trae Holiday and Besa Gordon about what he brings to the role and his experience with the show.

“Not only is this in my world as someone who has been a singer-songwriter for years,” Kreis said. “But also the message of Hermes really spoke to me.”

Morgan Siobhan Green and Nicholas Barasch play Eurydice and Orpheus in Hadestown, but their on-stage chemistry is a product of a deeper bond.

“We definitely embody our characters a lot,” Barasch said. Both he and Green say their off-stage presence mimics what viewers see during the show, adding an air of authenticity to this stunning production.

Trae Holiday and Besa Gordon got the opportunity to interview Anais Mitchell, the writer of the eight-time Tony award-winning musical Hadestown, at its Los Angeles red carpet premiere.

Hadestown is widely considered as musical theater royalty. The show first started in 2006, but it didn’t debut on Broadway until 2019, almost 13 years after its conception. Now, in 2022 Hadestown has finally made its way to a national tour.

What I loved most about this interview was all of the gems Brett Berish dropped, it's so easy to get to a point in your career where you feel like you don't have to give advice, you don't need to tell your story anymore, or help the next one on their way up. I’m happy to say Sunday, JC and I had the pleasure of being in this year‘s PRIDE parade for HITS 106.1 Seattle and it was so fun! Even though it was a good 90° yesterday, it did not stop anything that we had going on and after the parade, everyone went over to Seattle Center for the festival Not going to lie, I didn’t expect so many to be at Seattle Center afterward but it was great to see everyone out and having a great tie again.

Converge Media’s Pop Culture Queen Besa Gordon has been creating space for business enlightenment and community building through her monthly Real Seattle Media Mixers. Gordon creates space for entrepreneurs, influencers and media creators to come together and share experiences and knowledge.

When JC moved into the world of DJing five years ago, he knew he wanted to move outside the bounds of a traditional 9-5 life. Now working for the Mariners and as iHeart Radio promotions director, JC is moving even further in his quest as he joins Converge Media as our newest on-air talent.

This month's panel will focus on Instagram/Facebook ads, understanding your audience, and how to market to them in guys that grab their attention. The panel will begin at 9pm and go to about 9:30 pm - 9:45 pm. If you have any questions for the panel that you want to make sure are asked, send them to Besa Gordon on IG @besagordon. About this month’s Seattle Media Mixer 🥳 I knew the event would be dope, but my little heart is truly full with joy from all of the DMs, comments that have been left, and texts about how many connections people made and how much they learned from the social media panel.

It has been a busy few months for Besa Gordon, the longtime radio host on KUBE here in Seattle as well as on JAM’N 107.5 in Portland and B95 in Fresno California was thrown a loop as KUBE one of Seattle’s legacy urban stations was taken off-air and reformatted to Sports Radio KJR. Although Besa was still on-air in Oregon and California, her voice fell silent here in the Emerald City.

With Covid restrictions letting up, I’m happy to say DJ Lady Coco and I have officially done our second Media Mixer. WOOT WOOT! If you went to any of the mixers before Covid, you know there's usually a panel on podcasting, marketing, getting sponsorships, or even social media that starts after the first hour.
