Beniam Yetbarek recently visited The Day With Trae, hosted this week by Besa Gordon, to talk about the Art Walk at KOLORS and his activism through visual storytelling. Yetbarek is a digital media artist and manages his online portfolio, B.Y. Visuals.

Yetbarek is one of the first few Black artists to host Art Walk in Pioneer Square. The show opened on Thursday, June 6, and attracted over 200 attendees.

Her business, Inspirational Productions, is dedicated to promoting shows and events that uplift humanity. Her video shoot on June 29 is not just about uplifting others but also about rediscovering Kay’s dreams now that her kids are grown.

In this segment of The Day With Trae, host Trae Holiday welcomes back Evan Cook, a Federal Way-based community leader, author, and founder of Restoring Mindz. Cook, who has become a cornerstone in South King County through his work as a football coach, joins Holiday to discuss his latest initiative: the More Than Athletes Summer Camp. Cook created the foundation of this camp after a mental health crisis while searching for an identity beyond sports following his college football career at Eastern Washington University.

Host Trae Holiday was joined on this "The Day With Trae" segment by Anthony Session, also known as THE MAD BUS DRIVER. A St. Louis native, Session has spent 25 years driving a bus for King County Metro, a career from which much of the comedian's material comes. In his conversation with Holiday, Session shared details about his upcoming shows and teased an exciting new project he currently has in the works.

Recently, Olu Dixon visited "The Day With Trae" to delve into his artistic and educational journey with host Trae Holiday, sharing the mission of Olu Productions and the impactful initiative, It's Never 2 Early 2 Create & Innovate (N2E).

Dixon didn't attend public school until high school. Instead, he was part of a Black-run homeschooling program called Black Starline, managed by his mother and a group of her friends. This experience marked the beginning of his involvement with the community.

Kathya Alexander stopped by "The Day With Trae" to discuss her debut novel, "Keep A' Livin'," with host Trae Holiday. Her novel was released in April 2024 by Aunt Lute Books. In addition to her remarkable achievements as an author and playwright, Kathya has received numerous awards from organizations such as 4Culture, the Office of Arts and Culture, Artist Trust, and Seattle Parks and Recreation.

On this segment of The Day With Trae, host Trae Holiday welcomes Rodney McCurry, Head Football Coach and Board Member for the Seattle Majestics. The Majestics are one of the premier teams in women's American football, competing in the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC). During the interview, McCurry shares his journey from his early days to his current role in coaching women's football and his vision for the future of the Seattle Majestics and the WNFC.
