Today was incredible! I spent the day exploring Mombasa with Shirley (@zyl_shirley,) who showed me around like a true local. We hit up the market, where Shirley made sure I was treated properly and gave me some personal insight into the city and culture. Then, we strolled along the waterfront and had the most amazing lunch at Char-Choma.

The 4th annual Hip Hop, Wine and Chill event, a cornerstone of PDX Hip Hop Week, was a resounding success, uniting a diverse blend of artists, entrepreneurs, and hip hop aficionados. Hosted by Leadertainment LLC, and held at Abbey Creek Winery, Oregon's pioneering Black-owned vineyard and winery in over half a century, the event underscored the harmonious fusion of music, wine, and community spirit.

A Queen has officially received her rightful crown. Over the weekend, our cameras hit the road and took the 90 minute drive east across the Cascade Mountains to the town of Cle Elum, Washington, for the coronation of 17-teen-year-old Jessa Thomas, Miss Teen Rodeo Washington State. Jessa isn't just any Queen, she is the first-ever Black Queen for Miss Teen Rodeo in Washington State, and the honor was well deserved. More about Jessa below:

In their final game of Spring Training, our Seattle Mariners fell to the San Diego Padres as starter Marco Gonzales allowed three earned runs over four innings. Seattle got some offense in the third inning, but that’s all they could muster.

In the second to last game of Spring Training, the Seattle Mariners (labeled as the visiting team) came to a tie with the San Diego Padres at the Peoria Sports Complex. Both teams matched offense for offense in the game, as Logan Gilbert threw in his final outing of Spring Training 2023.

In their game on the road against the Cincinnati Reds, our Seattle Mariners saw 17 runs cross home plate in a huge victory. Every single starting Mariners batter recorded a hit, while five of them had multi-hit games.
